- Vehicle would die while driving due to the CAN 'C' Communication Circuit being shorted intermittently. This would cause all of the Control Modules on the circuit to turn off and shut the vehicle off.
- The 'NO BUS' Warning Message on the Instrument Cluster is was on due to the Controller Area Network (CAN 'C') Communication Circuit being shorted. Both High and Low circuits are shorting together. The short was isolated to the Electronic Power Steering Control Module (EPSCM). The Lower Engine Harness leading to the EPSCM is oil soaked, which has deteriorated the insulation on the wires. This caused the insulation to break apart and expose the copper. The communication circuit High and Low are twisted together. Which allows them to be a shielded signal. These were touching together and causing the NO BUS Condition. Other wires were also bare and exposed, these were also repaired on this invoice.
